I started out with just a text, with each of the four wikitext tags along with some empty lines and each tag preceeded by some boldface text saying what it was (see the page history), but I'm adverse to needless scrolling, so I thought I could compact the informatio a bit, so it'd take up less vertical space, if I put it into a table. This turned out to be right. With the old format, I could have about 4 tags visible at one time, any more and I'd have to scroll down. With this I can have 6 or maybe 7, and with rather a lot of space for comments or additional notes (not that I need that, for the current tags, but as I add more complex tags, that may change). I foresee that this personal reference page will make my editing and creation of articles faster, more efficient, and more convenient.--Peter Knutsen (the Designer) 03:26, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Soft hyphen

I think this: < ‑ > might produce a soft hyphen somehow, but I'm not yet sure of exactly how it should be implemented. Placing it here for future reference. --Peter Knutsen (the Designer) 12:19, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

No, I think rather that code produces a non-breaking hyphen, with the correct one being < s >, which I've tested in the temporary article Alternative Representation Artificer PL table where it seems to work. So I'll add soft hyphen to my reference table, and probably later look into sing the non-breaking hyphen in failure/Fumble codes, like F-2, where it's desirable to prevent line breaks in narrow table columns.--Peter Knutsen (the Designer) 12:37, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
